Uncle Ed's Events-Boat Rentals-BBQ Grill

About Us

Uncle Ed's BBQ Grill has been owned and operated by the Klein Family since 1962, previously the Harbor Lights. We changed our name for simplicity and name recognition in the market place. We have our own Uncle Ed's Backyard BBQ Sauce and Marinade in local area stores, and some area restaurants. We are also in several local area festivals. Try us out for catering either in your home, for your company event, or, if a day on the lake is what you're looking for, check out our pontoon and rowboat rentals. Powers Lake is a beautiful place to spend your days, enjoy a day with us. We are open all year round.

Had a wonderful time, Everyone was friendly and quite helpful. Was my first time driving a waverunner and they gave a great tutorial on how to operate one. It was truly was a great time. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to have some on the lake fun! Edit: Went back again for another fun time on the lake and once again Ed was very helpful. They even came out to lake to help my friend look for his keys that feel into the lake. We did found them, it was a huge relief. I highly recommend y'all give Ed a try and rent from him. Won't regret it!

I rented a Waverunner from Ed while I was staying at Powers Lake, and it was amazing! Ed was super friendly and patient with us, make going through all the legal stuff really easy, taught us very quickly how to use the waverunner, and got us out on the water, where the waverunner gave me no problems for the whole time. The family vibe he has, with other members of his family around and being just as friendly as him, was very comforting and just made the experience all the better. Next time I’m up here, I’ll definitely be coming to Ed for boat rental! EDIT: For two more years in the summer, we went back to Ed and his lovely family for a day of fun on the lake, and they've never failed to deliver. Always friendly and welcoming, quick tutorials to get you out there fast, always happy to help. In fact this year, when I foolishly managed to lose my keys on the rock bar we were chilling on, not only did the family bring out goggles, but also jumped in to help with magnets and extra goggles! The fact that they'd even bother to come out with goggles, let alone actually jump in (and yes, they found them!!), just shows such a kind commitment to the people they're renting to. They're the best!

First time having Uncle Ed’s BBQ at the fair. Food and service were fantastic! Best BBQ at the fair and the prices were reasonable. Their homemade BBQ sauce was excellent too!
